FMB Sketch

எஃப்எம்பி வரைபடம்

Field Measurement Book sketch — the official survey sheet showing the measurements and boundary lines of a survey number in Tamil Nadu.

FMB stands for Field Measurement Book. It is the official sketch produced by the Tamil Nadu Survey & Settlement department that records the shape, measurements, and boundary lines of every survey number in a village.

For every survey number there is an FMB sheet — or a subdivision of it — and it shows the 'F-line' (field boundary) and 'G-line' (village boundary) as recorded in the government survey. Banks, courts, planning authorities, and surveyors routinely ask for it.

An FMB sketch for a single survey number is downloadable free from the Tamil Nadu e-services portal. When the land covers several survey numbers or subdivisions, those sheets are joined into a Combined FMB Sketch.
